Flute auditions

Position vacant: Principal flute
The Netherlands Bach Society is inviting applications for the vacancy of principal flute (traverso).
• Core repertoire includes the major works of JS Bach and extends to both earlier and later periods.
• Experience in historically informed performance is essential.
• The successful candidate will be invited to become a core member of the Netherlands Bach Society.
• Applicants should be eligible to work in the Netherlands.
• Fees are paid according to the CLA music ensembles (CAO muziekensembles).

Procedure: Applications, auditions and trials
• Application deadline is June 5. Please send a CV to: hilde.vanruymbeke@bachvereniging.nl 
• Successful applicants will be invited to audition and/or trial.
• Auditions will take place in Utrecht on June 20.
• Live auditions are preferred, but exceptions will be made (an unedited video performance must be submitted).
• Multiple candidates may be selected for trial.
• Further information on the process will be sent by email once applications are received.

Bach Partita in A minor BWV 1013
• Corrente + Sarabande with ornamented repeats

During the audition, a selection from the following repertoire list will be made:
• Aus Liebe from BWV 244
• Benedictus from BWV 232
• Aria III (soprano) from BWV 100 Was Gott tut, das ist wohlgetan
• Aria II from BWV 180, Ermunt’re dich, dein Heiland klopft
