25th anniversary
On the occasion of the Bach Society’s 25th anniversary, in 1946, a big Bach festival was organised.
Six concerts were given of various sorts of music by Bach (chamber music, solo works and cantatas). The Bach Society’s first two conductors, Schoonderbeek and Cornelis, who had passed away, were also remembered.
