Lamentations 2023

For years, the Netherlands Bach Society has traditionally given Lamentation Concerts: intimate concerts in the early morning of Good Friday and Holy Saturday, prior to the St Matthew Passion.

For the 2023 edition, Michaela Riener has unearthed some beautiful six-part lamentations by the Flemish composer Carolus Luython from the archives in Prague.
